We are proud to announce our featured guests at this year's expo are THE SWAMP PEOPLE from the History Channel.
Deep in the heart of Louisiana lies America’s largest swamp–a million miles of inhospitable bayous, marshes and wetlands where nature rules and humans struggle to tame it. Many of its inhabitants are the hardened descendants of French refugees who were forced out of Canada in the 18th century and settled in this harsh yet majestic environment. Today, these people are known as the Cajuns, a group renowned throughout the world for their flavorful cuisine, distinctive music and vibrant culture. Resilient, self-reliant and fiercely independent, the Cajuns of the Atchafalaya Swamp still carry on many of their ancestors’ trades and traditions.

Pond Pro is a concept for the small water angler. It is dedicated to the people who want to learn what it takes to catch fish in their own backyard. Here's a couple of questions/answers from Tim Shannon, The Pond Pro.
BC: What brought Tim Shannon into the world of bass fishing?
TS: Where I grew up you had a shotgun in one hand and a rod in the other. The outdoors is a way of life to everyone in my hometown. My dad got me into the sport of fishing when I was big enough to hold on for a piggy back ride. I can still remember his favorite fishing holes.
BC: Being the Pond Pro has been your calling card. Can you tell us more about where the idea for the Pond Pro came from?
TS: The whole idea came out of no where really. A group of guys were passing around their cell phones at break showing off their latest catches and when I threw mine in the mix a buddy of mine said " That doesn't count, it's out of a pond". He also went on to say " You will never make it as a pond angler, you're not Bill Dance". That ate at me pretty good for a few days so I decided to prove him wrong and started up the Facebook page. The rest is making history...
